Embedded YouTube in High Quality

Recently Youtube launched their own definition of HD, and it’s now possible to view clips in higher quality on Youtube. .. read this last sentence carefully because when I say on Youtube it’s ONLY on YouTube. That’s right, by default there is no way to make the video play in High Quality. But luckily we’ve found a fix for it.

In your embedded player source code, go to the part where the url ends with “rel=” and append the following code “&ap=%2526fmt%3D18”. Do this for both the “param value” and the embed src” and the embedded YouTube player on your page or Blog, will now play the file in High Quality.

Google SURPRISE !

Last year I was invited by Google to comment on their Adwords program. They asked me on a variety of subjects: what I liked, what my best experience was and even what I did not like.. but it looks like they didn’t include that ;)

The video wasn’t my best camera performance so after my account rep and myself had a good laugh about it, we figured they’d never use it. But after I did a Google self search this afternoon I suddenly saw the following clip in the search results.

..watch out before pressing play. it’s SHOCKING !!

Anyway, with that being out in the open I’m excited to fly off to Miami next week to give you guys coverage on the Ad-Tech Miami event! It’s going to be an amazing show. Even though it’s primarily focussed on the Hispanic market there’s always a lot of good information there.

So stay tuned !
